Monday, October 3rd (30 minutes prep)
This event was much more dramatic, tense and euphoric than any low numbers war has any right to be. It had late comebacks, some heroic individual performances and in particular, the clear progression that was made by 2 new warrers who were being brutally exploited and farmed for KC. They both took on board the advice that was being given over the course of the war and in round 5, it was a prebail from one of them that offset WM going into their last pile: And the last pile? It was a switch to the other guy that WM had been catching out multiple times previously (Ty5553/Mcd), but this time he was ready and he tanked for long enough to clinch the draw at 2-2-1 over 5 rounds. It was brilliant and I'm glad that I was able to witness it. If the epitome of NB could be summed up and defined in one event, it was this one. Considering NB had an 87, a 97, a 99, a couple of inexperienced 100+s, and only two 120s, tying it up for a draw seemed even more gratifying than a lot of NB's wins. Good stuff, folks. And well done to the most inexperienced trio on the day that stepped up:
@Foquzed .
@picklespoon .
@Ty5553 .
Thank you to WM for the event. Hopefully you enjoyed it as much as NB, although presumably you did since you wanted to keep going, too.
