Some excellent practice was readily pursued in the form of a test against DK. It was felt that NB did very well outnumbered by 19 people and 18 people in rounds 1 and 2 respectively, as well as the deficit in levels given that NB only just got over an average combat of 100 after a recent competition.
The performance in round 1 was quite decent overall, although there were definitely a lot of clumping issues and a lack of binds, plus some other stuff that's discussed within the internal review. A good start was squandered and a gap opened up after surrendering te early lead.
There was a "Deeekayy" pile split issue which led to three different piles in the second round and it had a significant bearing on the scores. Defnitely a lesson learned for NB callers. Unfortunately, a good wave of momentum towards the end of round 2, but it was only to bridge the KC gap by so far and was ultimately too little, too late.
Thank you to DK for providing NB with the action. It was both beneficial and enjoyable. Until the next encounter.
Well done to everyone in NB who stepped up to the plate.
