New Blood v Ameno and New Blood v Sanity

A busy evening for our junior clan yielded fruitful returns and some very encouraging performances on the whole. With only 5 TR guests at the Sanity war and 3 TR guests initially against Ameno, NB should be proud of its performances. People are gaining experience, developing solid warring fundamentals and will be great additions to TR in due course when they are ready to progress. Very well done today.

Round 1 - Fullout first to 25 - 27v19 - NB won 25-4

Round 2 - Fullout first to 25 - 24v18 - NB won 25-17

Round 3 - Knockout Round - 24v18 NB won by 20 people

Some Ameno were expecting something very different...

We didn't really know what to expect and quite frankly, neither did they. They often have 40-50 in cc, but they are a pvming clan who are looking to get into warring a bit. Unfortunately, they didn't pull as much as we hoped they would, but it was still enjoyable, especially for some of the 1st and 2nd time warrers that were in tow who recently joined NB. Armeno have a very high combat average of over 120, but by their own admission after the event, they strugge to maintain organisation.

In the interim period, there was a 30 minutes inner event where some of the newest/least experienced were drilling with some war practice. Areas focused on in this exercise included gear switching, pile transitions and awareness of being piled.

Round 1 - First to 25 - 25v21 - NB won 25-17

Round 2 - First to 25 - 23v22 - NB won 25-23

Round 3 - First to 25 - 24v20 - Sanity won 25-16

We knew that NB would be pushed much harder against Sanity, a decent force to be reckoned with in P2P, but have been venturing into F2P. As expected, they were a cohesive unit and they had competent styles, god tanks and they also had the discipline to drop off piles. In the third round, Sanity showed much better pile selection and were able to consistently exploit NB's level 80s in particular.

As for the first two rounds, evrything was pretty much on point. The most glaring issue was undoubtedly clumping, especially amongst those who until recently didn't even know what clumping is. One thing that was excellent was NB reactions to pile transitions that forced KOs and ultimately was what made the win possible. The first two rounds showed that low levels and even inexperience need not be insurmountable, subject to a willingness to listen. NB's average combat level was around 100 to Sanity's 120-ish, but it is anticipated that they could be a much tougher proposition next time if the third round was anything to go by.

NB still has a long way to go until it has the collective experience and capabilities to step up against more illustrious names, but strides are being made, especially in NB's recent wars over the last couple of weeks. Keep improving.
