*NB switched to blue capes after round 1 proved to be more awkward than anticipated with both sides in red.
A stern test was welcomed against Ronin, who recently returned after taking some time away. The rules were that Ronin would drop to -3, while NB could only bring a maximum of 3 TR into the portal. Both rules were respected and it's fair to say that both Ronin and NB come away from the event with positives. Ronin will surely be happy with their pre-binds, transtions through people not clumped and the fact that they were able to keep the action near their portal with relative ease most of the time. Meanwhile, NB can be happy with getting very respectable scores under the circumstances through sheer tenacity. Some NB tanked well despite the low levels and clumping efforts were good by the 75% who seemed on point and in sync. Also, saw some people were at least trying to get it away from their portal and/or doing enough to tank Ronin off, as well as decent styles switching. Going 7-7 in round 2 was surreal to witness, too. In short, fhe fundamentals are there for the most part, even if the levels and experience are not (yet). It's hard not to the proud of the scores under the circumstances, however, so very well done to the NB that stepped up to the plate. Hopefully Ronin enjoyed the action and will push on from here with their rebuild.
GG Ronin. Still hoping you guys see the light about having an academy and that this event went some way towards showing the merits. Until next time.
