A great opportunity presented itself for NB in the form of a stern test against Poison. It was a massive step up from NB's competitive wars up to this point. As expected, thee was an enormous gap in levels due to NB's combat average of 104 and while styles are on the up, there was a water blaster today. Alas, the numbers advantage seemed to make up for this to an extent, especially with the inclusion of a sensible amount of TR guests to mainly help with binding (five TR members in round 1, although it was cut down to three for rounds 2 and 3).
Needless to say, Poison did well outnumbered and enjoyed very good transition momentum, especially in round 3, and they were worthy winners on the day. Nevertheless, it was hard not to be proud to witness the overall performance from NB today and the progress that has been made up to this point. At the end of the day, strides have been taken that many cynical naysayers said wouldn't be possible. The success of New Blood warring academy speaks volumes and other clans ought to be attempting to emulate it. It has already been an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling experience building up NB, yet this is only the early stages of the project. There are literally over 60k people logging into OSRS at peak times recently and less than 1% are in the clan world (if not -0.5% considering how few clanners are typically logged in when there aren't any events). That's a lot of people to reach out to in-game and potentially introduce to warring.
Well done to NB. Here's to continuity of growth, progresson and warring success. Thank you to Poison for being such great sports and providing NB with a very tough challenge. Hopefully you guys had fun and that another meeting can be scheduled in the future.
